Do you have any cheaper rates for independent filmmakers or individuals?

We are always happy to support independent filmmakers and small companies, just get in touch and we will do what we can.

Can I book a studio earlier than 8AM and later than 6PM?

All timings can be adjusted according to your production, this will affect the day/week rate and is subject to availability.

Do you do discounted rates for longer term bookings?

Multiple weeks will receive block booking discounts, all bookings must be made with as much notice as possible and are subject to availability.

 Do you do half day or hourly bookings?

Our minimum booking length for all studios is one day.

The studio would be perfect for a scene in our film, can we hire it for filming?

Every studio is available to hire as a location, subject to availability.

Is there wheelchair access? 

All studios are wheelchair accessible, if any member of your party has any further access requirements, please do get in touch and we’ll make any accommodation possible.

Can anyone use the truss rig?

Only competent stunt riggers with relevant experience can access the truss rig.

Do you provide rigging equipment?

To comply with liability insurance, all hirers must provide their own rigging equipment.

Do you provide insurance?

All our venues have full Public Liability Insurance for the buildings themselves, all hirers must provide a copy of their own PLI for activity undertaken in a studio. Essex Studios Ltd is not a broker and cannot provide insurance cover to any hirer.
